Mrs. Hansen was united in marriage on November 18, 1944, in Germany to Marius Anton Hansen. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 13, 2005; and her parents.
Mrs. Hansen had attended the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dixon and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and needlework. She had done factory work as well as being a housewife and homemaker, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Hansen include: one son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Elizabeth Petersen, Dixon; three grandchildren, Rhonda Trout and Teressa Fowler, both of Dixon and Suzanna Mueller, Germany; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A Rosary service was held for Mrs. Hansen at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening, April 2, 2009 in the Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon, with Rev. Walter Reisinger leading.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mrs. Hansen at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2009, in the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Dixon, with Rev. Walter Reisinger officiating.
Interment was in the Egan Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon.
