Nathan Ousley (1882-1961)

Nate Ousley, Long Time Resident Passes Away At Home Yesterday

Nate Ousley, 79 years old, Waynesville’s oldest native citizen, who for over 40 years, worked as custodian of the Pulaski County Court House, died at his home early Wednesday morning, following a short illness. He had been in failing health for some time.

He is survived by his wife, Cora, a son, Luther, former Marshall of Waynesville, a son, William Ousley, an employee in ordinance at Fort Wood, a son John, of St. Louis, and a daughter, Mrs. Sam Crossland of Waynesville; also a number of grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Ousley will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the First Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Moss-Williams Funeral Home of Waynesville.
