At age 4, Tyler was dedicated to the Lord in the Waynesville United Methodist Church. She had recently been attending Westside Baptist Church.
Tyler was in her final year at Crocker High School. She also attended graphic arts classes at Waynesville Technical Academy. Her future plans included attending cosmetology school. Tyler enjoyed music, drawing and screen printing and embroidering clothing. In 2006, she participated in the Miss Pulaski County Scholarship pageant. Her favorite times were spent with friends and family.
Tyler departed this life the morning of September 23, 2007, as the result of injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident south of Veteran’s Bridge near Dixon, Missouri, at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 7 days.
Tyler was dearly loved, and will be sadly missed by her mother: Kelley Keeling of Crocker; grandparents: Michele and Eddie Dennis of Crestview, FL and Winfred Keeling of Waynesville; great grandmother: Junie O’Donnel of New Iberia, LA; one aunt: Wendy Akins and her daughter, Skyler of Knoxville, TN; several great aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Tyler was preceded in death by an aunt: Robin Keeling, and great grandparents: Claude and Leta Keeling and James O’Donnell.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27 at Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Speakers included Mark Finger, Bonnie Schrimpsher, Jana Keeling and several of Tyler’s friends. “My Immortal,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Hello, I Love You” and “Because of You” were played. Serving as escorts were Kevin and Waylon Keeling, Bronson and Brody Helton, Zac Harrington, Ron Snider, Rick Carlton and Jarad Milligan. Honorary escorts were Billy, Floyd, Dale and Mike Keeling, Bonnie Schrimpsher, and Melba and John Harrington.
Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
