Yong Ja (Mona) Presley 1936-1984

Yong Ja (Mona) Presley was born in Seoul, Korea on August 11, 1936, and she departed this life at Crocker, Missouri, on February 15, 1984 in her 47th year.

She was united in marriage to James A. Presley, October 13, 1961 and to this union two sons were born, Kevin and Wilbur Presley. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin, and her mother and father.

Mrs. Presley was a devoted wife and mother. She always put the welfare of her family ahead of her own. She was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed outdoor life to its fullest. She grew up on a farm in Korea, and after Mr. Presley retired from the military in 1981, they bought a farm in the Buckhorn community, later moving to Crocker, Missouri. She appreciated the land, trees, flowers and animals and all of natures creation. Mrs. Presley is survived by her husband James A. Presley, and one son, Wilbur Presley, both of Crocker, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 17, 1984 2:00 p.m. in the Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison, Arkansas. Interment was in the Maplewood Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the funeral service was Rev. Tollie Sutterfield. Those serving as escorts were Jerry Don Bailey, Clabe Presley.
