Eska (Decker) Hancock 1919-2007

Eska Hancock, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born June 24, 1919, at Dixon, Mo., daughter of Fred Guy and Nellie Mae Conner Decker. She and Rhea A. Hancock were married March 10, 1943, in Hot Springs, Ark. He died Dec. 19, 1988.
Hancock attended Iberia Community College and the University of Missouri-Rolla. She was a cook 25 years with Lindbergh School District.
She moved to Cape Girardeau four years ago from Fenton, Mo., where she was a member of Southwest Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul Hancock of Jackson; two daughters, Charlotte Hill of Independence, Mo., Ruth Turner of Perryville, Mo.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a grandchild.
There is no visitation.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dixon City Cemetery in Dixon. The Rev. Wilbur Warman will officiate.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home of Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
