He grew to adulthood in this community. He attended the public schools of Richland. When he was still quite young, he joined his Dad, lee, in the operation of the business which has always been known as Bohannon’s Mill or Bohannon’s.
He has been a member of the First Christian Church of Richland for over fifty years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Post 240 of the American Legion. Also, he had been active (most of the time a Leader), in many civic organizations in Richland for more than 50 years. For many years, he had written a column in the local newspaper- “Looking Back Over The Years”- in which he delighted in recalling events from many, many years ago- some good, some bad. He did much, and possibly more than any one man to promote the growth and development of Richland.
In 1920 he was married to Edna Lutz. Their two sons are Edward and Lloyd. Lynn and Edna worked side by side for more than 48 years. After her death he was married to a long time friend, Chadna Grubb. Chadna lived only a few months after their marriage. On November 5, 1971 Lynn was married to Lottie Barlow. For almost 11 years they have enjoyed a happy marriage.
Funeral services were at the First Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 1982 under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapels. Burial was in the Oaklawn cemetery under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapels.
Pallbearers were Steve Belshe, William Starmer, Cleamont Sheeley, William Arnold, Jewell Henson, and Don Shivers.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie of Richland; his two sons, Edward Bohannon and Lloyd Bohannon of Richland; two step-daughters, Gloria King of the state of California and Georgia Selsor of Springfield, Missouri; his brother Earl Bohannon of the state of California; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; many other relatives and an entire community of friends and business associates who will definitely feel a great loss.
He was preceded in death by his half brother, Robert Bohannon and a brother Ralph Bohannon.
