Ruby Mae (Carter) Norris 1900-1984

Ruby Mae Norris was born a daughter of John and Molly Carter on September 9, 1900 in Florala, Alabama. She departed this life on October 3, 1984 in Waynesville, Missouri.

She lived most of her early life in Tampa, Florida, moving later to the Pulaski County area in 1960. She had lived in the Laquey, Missouri area since 1968.

Mrs. Norris enjoyed crocheting and sewing and had a great love for her family and many friends. She was so very proud of all her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Norris and daughter-in-law Dorothy of Laquey, Missouri, and Glennon (Bill) Kennedy of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter Willa Mae Nader of Glendale, California; one foster daughter: Jean Barone of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 7, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harvey Dye officiating.

Organist was Marjorie Link and soloist was Janell Walters.

Escorts were Melvin Burdick, Kent Hicks, Joseph Medders, Gordon Schomer, Ralph Torres, and Hubert Urban. Honorary escort was Bill C. Reinhardt.

Interment was at the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
