On December 24, 1910 he was united in marriage to Mabel Gan, who preceded him in death in April 1957, and to this union 1 son was born.
Early in life he professed his faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church.
He served overseas during World War I and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Those left to mourn his passing are a son, Bill, of St. Clair, Missouri, three sisters, Aggie Saling and Addie Morgan of St Louis, and Georgia Thompson of Bellflower, Missouri, and a half sister, Nora Elkins of the State of California, five grandsons, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services under direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Waynesville, were held Wednesday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Baptist Church with Rev. B.R. Tatom officiating. Burial was in Waynesville Memorial Cemetery.
Military rites were held at the graveside with Fort Leonard Wood rendering the honors.
