Stella Mae (Martin) Thomas 1920-2008

Stella Mae Thomas, 88, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Charlie and Rosa (Brown) Martin, was born March 2, 1920, in Dixon, Mo. She died Nov. 8, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem.
Stella spent her working years as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
She is survived by: two sons, Bob Gregory and wife Wanda of Gallatin, Tenn., and Steve Maguffee of Salem; one daughter, Kathy Phillips and husband Joe of Anchorage, Alaska; son-in-law, Carl King of Thayer, Mo.; one sister, Bessie Roberts of Jonesoro, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Craig Maguffee, Tyler Maguffee, Dustin Maguffee, Meghan Maguffee, Tammy Massey, Anita Durham, Ronda Nakoa and Ginger Buck; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ted Thomas; parents; daughter, Judy King; grandson, Greg King; two brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services were held Nov. 11 at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Interment followed in the Camp Cemetery at Camp, Ark., under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
Pallbearers were Gene Martin, Rayford Martin, Mike Martin, Keith Martin, Paul Fulfer and Marty Roberts.
Memorials are preferred to the Salem Church of Christ.
