Archie Ray McLaughlin 1905-1985

Archie Ray McLaughlin was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on July 11, 1905 the son of Walter Herman and Anna Cordt McLaughlin and passed away in the Ft. Leonard Wood Hospital on October 26, 1985.  He had attained the age of 80 years.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jo Malone on June 6, 1924.

Archie “Mac” McLaughlin and his wife “Jo” moved to Crocker in 1971- a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and also retired as an accountant in the revenue department of the State of Kansas in Topeka, Kansas.  He was a member of 56 years in the Masonic Orient Lodge #51 AF and AM in Topeka, Kansas and the Scottish Rite in Topeka Kansas.  He was also an elder of the Crocker Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jo of the home in Crocker, 1 son Robert of Houston, Texas and 1 daughter Joyce Keeler of Gilroy, California, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held in the Crocker Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 29, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating.  Burial was in the Crocker Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Long Moss Williams Chapel of Crocker.  Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy, Charles, and Daryll Adams, Elmer and Randy Hutton, and Mike Leuthen.
