Elijah Alphonso Moore 1912-1986

Elijah Alphonso Moore was born a son of William O. Moore and Irene (James) Moore on February 20, 1912 in the State of Arkansas, and he departed this life on October 18, 1986 at his home in Plato, Missouri in his 74th year,

Elijah had a degree as an electrical engineer.  He worked at Dodge Truck (missing text).  He was a butcher several years.  He worked as a machine operator as Hardware Spring in the State of Michigan, after which he retired.  After his retirement, he enjoyed farming and seeing things accomplished.

Elijah was a loving and devoted father, frandfather, son, nephew and friend.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 22, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jess Norris officiating.  Music was provided by organist, Dorothy Moore.  Escorts were: Larry Brooks, Norman Fahle, Sheldon Gaines, Bobby Hall, Mike McDonald, Tommy Moore and William Moore.

Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

He is survived by one son, Raymond Moore of Warren, Michigan, and one daughter, Rita Moore Gaines of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Dimple Fahle of Livonia, Michigan; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Elijah was preceded in death by his parents and Uncle.
