Vincent William Faherty 1914-1986

Vincent William Faherty was born in Clarksburgh, Missouri on March 25, 1914, the son of Oscar and Rose Sommerhauser Faherty and passed away in the Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla on January 13, 1986.  He had attained the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

He was united in marriage to Margaret Bull on October 24, 1939 in the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Tipton, Missouri.  Unto this union 5 sons were born.

He was a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mass was prayed on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Walter Reisinger leading the mass.

Burial was in the Eagon Cemetery under the direction of the Long Funeral Home of Dixon.

Pallbearers were Bill McKinnon, John Heckemyer, Bert Burnett, Roy Overshon, Vic Bacer and Ed Robertson.

Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret of the home, 5 sons, William of Hinesville, Georgia, James of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ronald of Dixon, George of Jefferson City and Robert of Dixon; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; 5 brothers, Edmond of Eldon, Charles and Frank of Puyallup, Washington, Maurice of Barnett and J.O. of Lubbock, Texas; 4 sisters, Winifred Williams of Amarillo, Texas, Beth Hainen of Tipton, Jean Clark of Bonner Springs, Kansas and Stella Hake of Kansas City, Kansas with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, one brother, and one sister.
