Dale Norman Waak 1938-1986

Dale Norman Waak was born in LaPorte City, Indiana on November 13, 1938 the son of Lester and Mary Bennett Waak and passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 11, 1986.  He had attained the age of 47 years.

He was united in marriage to Peggy Cardin on Oct. 26,1963 and unto this union 1 son and 1 daughter were born.

He worked for the State Highway Dept. for 17 ½ years, was in the Army for 2 years, a member of the Pisgah Church and enjoyed working with the youth.  As a hobby he enjoyed digging roots and loved being with people.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services were held in the Long Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Steven Lynch officiating.  Burial was in the Pisgah Cemetery.  Serving as his pallbearers were Mike Hall, Craig Rivera, John McClendon, John Cardin, Dwight Smith and David Day.  Organist was Kathy Brandt and Soloist was Ellen Alexander.

Dale is survived by his wife Peggy of the home, 1 son David and his wife Sue Waak of Vienna, his daughter Teresa of the home, his mother Mary Waak of Stillwell, Indiana, Charles, Terry, and Jim of Laporte City, Indiana and John of Spencer, West Virginia, 1 sister Catherine Hoff of Laporte City, Indiana, 2
