John Phillip Snead 1913-1986

John Phillip Snead, son of John Patrick and Blanche Harbaugh Snead, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 9, 1913 and departed this life October 29, 1986 at Osage Beach, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Kathleen Gibson on September 5, 1941, and to this union was born two sons, and one daughter, all surviving.

As a young man, John was baprized into the First Presbyterian Church of Worland, Wyoming.  He was an ordained deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Climax Springs.

He retired as a supervisor of a oil field service company.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 31, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Rowe officiating under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel.

John is survived by his wife Kathleen of the home; two sons, John Snead Jr., of Richland and Charles Snead of Gillette, Wyoming; one daughter, Helen Sinner of Camdenton; two sisters, Edyth Parton of Grandfield, Oklahoma and Helen James of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and a host of many friends.

Those preceding him in death include his parents and one sister Adell Luke.
