Berta Kate (Engleheart) Huchel 1904-1985

Berta Kate Huchel was born in Marburg, Germany on May 17, 1904 the daughter of Frit and Martha Snider Engleheart and passed away in the Waynesville Hospital on November 10, 1985.  She has attained the age of 81 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Hildegard and LeRoy Ghumm of Crocker, 8 grandchildren, Ernest Ghumm of Crocker, Jess Ghumm and Billy Ghumm of Battle Creek, Michigan, Eddie Ghumm of Gales Burg, Illinois, Michale Ghumm of St. Roberts, Yalonda Ghumm and Rebecca Ghumm of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Rose Pencenti of Palm Springs, California, and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz, her mother and father, and 1 grandson Harold who passed away in the American Embassy in Beruit on October 23, 1983.

Mrs. Huchel moved here from Germany on October 3, 1973 and lived with her daughter and son-in-law.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel in Crocker on Wednesday, November 13, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Campbell officiating.  Burial was in the Crocker Memorial Park Cemetery.  Organist was Gladys Schneider.
