Fred C. “Robby” Robinson 1915-1986

Fred C. “Robby” Robinson of Waynesville, Missouri, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, January 7, 1915, the son of Frederick H. and Marie (Bailey) Robinson, and departed this life May 27, 1986 at the age of 71 years, four months, 20 days.

Fred was married to Reba Roberts on December 7, 1973.

Fred spent 22 years in the Army, having enlisted in June of 1939 and retired from the Army in June of 1945.  He re-enlisted in 1949 and retired in October of 1965.  He served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Beirut, Lebanon.  Fred served his country well.

After retirement from the Army, he worked several years for the Civil Service.

Fred was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the V.F.W. Post 3176.

Fred is survived by his wife, Reba of the home in Waynesville; two sons: Robert Alan Robinson, Springfield; Virginia and James Edward Robinson of Salem, Oregon; one step-son, Douglas Arlin Moore of Los Angeles, California; two step-daughters: Phyllis Wood of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Jeanine Sullivan of Constabieville, New York; 11 grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends.

“Robby” will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial services were held Saturday, May 31, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Captain Harry E. Colter officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Dorothy Moore.

Interment was in the Ozark Memorial V.F.W. Cemetery in St. Robert under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
