Berchie Mae (Shelton) Rowland 1912-1985

Berchie Mae Rowland was born in Crocker, Missouri on December 9, 1912, the daughter of Thomas and Arlena Thornsberry Shelton and passed away in the Lebanon Hospital on October 11, 1985.  She had attained the age of 72.

She was united in marriage to Claude Rowland on August 29, 1961.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at an early age and was a faithful member of the Concord Christian Church.  She loved flowers and gardening and was a loving mother and grandmother.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held in the Concord Christian Church on Monday, October 14, 1985 at 2:00 pm.m with the Reverend Lee Todd officiating.

Burial was in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of the Long Moss Williams Chapel of Crocker.

Serving as her pallbearers were Lyle Studer, John Stafford, Dave and Dewey Luttrell and Ralph and Clay Duncan.

She is survived by her husband, Claude of the home, two daughters, and son-in-laws, Virginia and Richard Tingle of Crocker and Chariet and Ray York of Waynesville, two grandsons, Charlie Tingle of Crocker and Kenny York of Waynesville, one great grandson, Craig, one brother, Carl Shelton of Iberia, and one sister, Irene Wall of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by one son, Carl, one brother, Orville, and her husband, Charlie Whittle.
