Carrie Jane (McMillian) Williams 1900-1986

Carrie Jane Williams was born in Pulaski County, Missouri, on June 14, 1900, the daughter of John and Martha Ann Lowry McMillian and passed away in St. Louis on August 31, 1986.  She had attained the age of 86 years.

She was united in marriage to Edward Williams on Sept. 29, 1920 and unto this union 8 children were born.  He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1967.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Home in Crocker on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1986 at 11:00 a.m. with Don Baker officiating.  Burial was in the Bethany Cemetery.  Serving as her pallbearers were Gary Tilley, Herbert, Michael and Bobby Williams, Max James, and Harold Carroll.

Carrie is survived by 3 sons, Victor Williams of St. Ann, Vernon Williams of Crocker, and John Williams of Woodson Terrace, Missouri; 2 daughters, Ellen New of Overland and Helen Williams of Florissant; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Emma Carroll of Dixon and Effie Hancock of St. Louis; 1 brother Walter McMillian of St. Louis with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, 1 son Virgil, 1 grandchild, 1 sister, 1 brother and 1 infant son and daughter.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
