Thelma Elizabeth (Eads) Jensen 1918-1986

Thelma Elizabeth Jensen was born in Dixon, Missouri on March 14, 1918 the daughter of Jim and Agusta Copeland Eads and passed away in the Tri-County Nursing Home in Richland on Thursday evening, Oct. 23, 1986.  She had attained the age of 68 years.

After graduating from high school she attended college at Bolivar for one year.  She then worked for the Health Department in Waynesville for a period of time.  The rest of her life she spent as a house wife and working for the Department of the Army at Ft. Leonard Wood until her health failed, retiring after 20 years.  On March 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Earl Jensen.  She was a devoted mother to her two sons and Phillip and Lance.

At an early age she was converted to Christianity and remained faithful to her Christian faith as long as she lived, being a member of the Crocker Presbyterian Church.  She was a loving and caring person and she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held in Crocker Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 26, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Porter officiating.  Burial was in the Crocker Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Long Funeral Home of Crocker.  Gladys Schneider was the organist.  Serving as her pallbearers were Herbert Krouse, Hubert Peterson, Dr. John Mihalevich, Neal Jones, Kent Murray and Ronnie Layman.

Thelma is survived by her husband Earl of the home, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Kathy Jensen of Crocker and Lance and Patricia Jensen of St. Louis, 3 grandchildren, Mark, Karen, and Katie, 2 sisters, Bertha Eads of Cincinnati, Ohio and Evelyn Davis of Granite City, Illinois, 1 brother Warren Eads of Virginia, with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 infant son, 1 brother Wayne Eads and 1 sister Pearl Gilbert.
