Everett Lee Keaton 1903-1986

Everett Lee Keaton was born in Big Piney, Missouri on October 16, 1903, the son of William Lennox and Sarah Palmer Keaton and passed away in the nursing home in Vienna on November 30, 1986.  He had attained the age of 83 years.

He was united in marriage to Edna Riden on December 9, 1929 and to this union three sons and one daughter were born.

Everett was a lifetime farmer.  He moved from Big Piney to the Hayden area in 1941 where he farmed the land he loved until moving to Dixon in 1980.  He was baptized in the Kenner Church of God and in later years attended the High Point Church of God.

Funeral services were held in the Long Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 2, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Bailey officiating.  Burial was in the Kenner Cemetery under the direction of the Long Funeral Chapel.

His grandsons served as pallbearers.

He is survived by his wife Edna, three sons; James of Kansas City, William Arnold of Beauford, Missouri and Ralph of Higginsville; two brothers, Clyde of St. Louis and Robert of Licking; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bernadine, five brothers and three sisters.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
