Bessie Edith (Denton) Kissinger 1903-1986

Bessie Edith Kissinger, daughter of Felix Noah and Emma Denton was born February 26, 1903 in Tuscumbia, Missouri, and departed this life on October 25, 1986 at Osage Beach, Missouri.  She had attained the age of eighty three years.  Fot the past four years she has been a resident of the Tri-County Nursing Home.

On November 16, 1921, she was united in marriage with Clint Brumley, and to this union was born four children.

On December 25, 1954, she was united in marriage with Fred Kissinger.

Bessie professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of the Christian Church in Richland, as long as her health permitted.

She was employed at Fort Leonard Wood from 1950 until her retirement in 1968.

She has been a lifelong resident of Richland.  She was a kind and considerate lady, who loved her family very much.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother and a friend to all.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 27, 1986 at 3:00 p.m. with Lee Todd officiating under the direction of the Colonial Funeral Chapel.

Resting place was in the Livingston Cemetery.

Escorts for Mrs. Kissinger were: Vernon Wyatt, Dwight Roam, Don Wyant, Ron Helms, Felix Helms and Weldon Evans.

Those surviving include her two sons, Virgil Brumley of Richland, and Bill Brumley of Modesto, California; one daughter, Freda Wynat of Richland; three sisters, Lela Helms of St. Robert, Jeannie Shelton and Opal Shelton, both of Iberia; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, her husbands, and one son, Clarence.
