Popular County Employee Passes Away In Hospital Following Heart Attack

Bryan Lane, who for the past 35 years, had been an employee of the county, passed away at the Waynesville General Hospital February 5, where was taken following a heart attack suffered a few days previous. Mr. Lane was one of the best known and best liked men in this county.

OBITUARY

Bryan Alvin lane was born November 1, 1902 at Waynesville, Missouri and passed away at the Waynesville General Hospital at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 4 days.

Mr. Lane was united in marriage to Mary Jane Ray, April 5, 1925 and to this union were born two sons, Robert and Lloyd both residing at Waynesville and one daughter Catherine Nicks of Waynesville. He is also survived by one step-daughter Cora Haney of Ault, Colorado.

Mr. Lane was a member of the Gospel Ridge Baptist Church.

Mr. Lane worked as a county employee for the past 35 years.

Beside his family, Mr. Lane leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Musetta Cusick of Waynesville and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Waynesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Cox officiating, Friday February 8, 2:00 p.m. Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Cemetery under direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Waynesville.

Pallbearers were Dick Gray, Clayton Gray, Freddie Gray, Snowden Ray, Jess Ray, and Edd Roach.
