Dora Ann (Ridenhour) Crossland 1897-1976

Dora Ann Crossland, daughter of Isaac and Tenny Williams Ridenhour was born September 2, 1897, in Oregon County, Missouri, and departed this life on February 4, 1976 after having attained the age of 78 years past.

Dora, the wife of the late Sam Crossland, had been in the Compton Hills Nursing Home in St. Louis, Missouri for the past four years.

Dora, a long time resident of Pulaski County, had made her peace with God at the Assembly of God Church in Herceuleum, Missouri, and remained true to her faith until passing.

Dora leaves to mourn her passing: Two daughters, Aline Sanders of Herceuleum, Missouri, Imagene Winschel of Afton, Missouri; Also surviving are four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister, Flora Henry of Los Angeles, California, and two brothes, Tom Ridenhour of Summitt, Mississippi, and Cecil Powell of Gailsburg, Illinois and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 6, 1976, at 10 a.m. at the Long-Moss-Williams Funeral Chapel in Waynesville, Missouri with the Rev. Lyle Parsons officiating. Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers were, Lloyd Graves, Lewis Graves, Arthur Graves, Roy York, Harry Graves, James Crossland, and Paul Long. Organist was Mrs. David Link and Soloist was Iva Mae Case.
