Roy William Taylor 1912-1984

Roy William Taylor, son of Lonzo and Lula May Johnson Taylor, was born in Slater, Missouri May 17, 1912, and departed this life May 7, 1984 at lake Ozark, Missouri, at the age of 71 years.

He was united in marriage to Ella Angel on May 15, 1946. He owned and operated the Rula Sand and Gravel Company until 1963. After selling the company he moved to the Richland area, and here farmed and also drove piling.

On August 10, 1978 he was united in marriage to Fay Hussell.

In April of 1983, Roy was baptized and became a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Fay of the home; one step daughter, Sharon Agee of St. Joe, Missouri; and one sister, Geraldine Simmerly of Waynesville, Missouri; also other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ella, and three brothers, Pike, Charles, and Arthur.

Services for Roy W. Taylor were held at Colonial Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 1984. Officiating at the services was Rev. Don Martin. Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, Soloist; and Marcia Shadel, Organist. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Escorts were: Gerry Frank, Danny Patton, Don Myers, Harold Carlson, Gallard June, and Sherman Lambard. Under direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland, Missouri.
