Dale E. Halloway 1903-1984

Dale E. Halloway, age 80, died Thursday, June 14, 1984 at the Saline Community Hospital after a long period of illness. He was born September 14, 1903 in Shurdan, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Mary Alma Garrett Halloway.

On April 8, 1925 in Rockwell City, Iowa he married Pauline Dudley. They had lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan most of their lives and moved to Richland, Missouri four years ago. Mr. Halloway had worked for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn as an instrumentation specialist, retiring in 1966.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include: eight daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Mary) Swayze of Garden City, Mrs. Raymond (Joyce) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mrs. Nazareth (Prudence) Barnabei of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Paul (Judith) Spradlin of Saline, Mrs. Tony (Carol) Meta of Manchester, Mrs. John (Iris) Weisgerber of Ypsilanti, Mrs. James (Leslie) Bruce of Saline, and Mrs. Eric (Julia) Malmgren of Minneapolis, Minnesota; three sons, Mr. Paul G., Mr. Henry D., and Mr. R. Thomas, all of Ypsilanti; 50 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edith Peacock of Sioux City, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one son, Alan Halloway May 27, 1978, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, 1984 at 1:00 p.m. from the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home with the Rev. Reginald Hocking officiating.

Burial was in the Marble Park Cemetery, Milan.
