Clayton Dale Bartlett 1927-1984

Clayton Dale Bartlett was born a son of Clifford Samuel Bartlett and Marie Opal (Gilbert) Bartlett on June 29, 1927 at Big Piney, Missouri, and he departed this life September 24, 1984 in Springfield, Missouri in his 57th year.

He united in marriage to Dorothy Lee (Choate) Bartlett on April 3, 1948, and they enjoyed 36 years together, and to this union two sons were born.

He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was with Missouri Vending for 38 years, during which his work afforded him the opportunity to work, and meet many people, and it was a great part of his life to have the ability to make friends easily. He will greatly missed by his family and many, many friends.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; two sons: Clayton Steven, and Jeffery Fale Bartlett of Waynesville, Missouri; his father: Clifford Bartlett of Winter Haven, Florida; his mother-in-law, Neva Cantrell of Waynesville, Missouri; two sisters: Lorene Devine of Manteca, California and Bernadine Long of Leeton, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 27, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Elam officiating.

Interment was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Music was provided by Soloist Charles Folkert and Marjorie Link organist.

Escorts were: Art Anderson, Norman Anderson, Kenny Shivers, Roy Hayes, Howard Delcour, and Wendell Wilson.
