Mrs. Jeanne Darlene (Pruitt) Broadaway 1948-1984

Mrs. Jeanne Darlene Broadaway, 35, a resident of Heritage House Nursing Home, died at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 1984 after several months illness.

Mrs. Broadaway was born August 26, 1948 at Richland, Missouri, to George and Daisy (Potts) Pruitt. She grew up and received her education at Richland, Missouri. Mrs. Broadaway married Charles Broadaway on September 6, 1974, at Ochelata. She was a member of the NCOA Wife’s Club in Germany and Berlin.

Mrs. Broadaway is survived by her husband, SFC Charles Broadaway, Tulsa; Amy Broadaway, Parsons, Kansas; and Jacqueline Broadaway, Parsons, Kansas; one son, Michael Broadaway, Fort Riley, Kansas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pruitt, Bolivar, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Hamm of Ochelata; one sister, Debbie Morris, Ramona; one step-sister and two step-brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanne D. Broadaway, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ochelata Fire Baptized Holiness Church with Rev. Duane Johnson officiating.

Casket escorts for Mrs. Broadaway were: Kenneth Broadaway, Jack Presley, Craig Presley, Steve Knipmeyer, Chuck Shreffler and Roger Potts.

Interment was in the Ochelata Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.
