Margaret A. (Howard) Craig 1913-1983

Margaret A. Craig, daughter of Carl and Margaret Tarney Howard, was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 15, 1913, and departed this life November 11, 1983 at her home in Richland, Missouri.

Margaret was united in marriage to Benjamin H. Craig on March 15, 1929 and to this union was born two daughters, both surviving.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Chicago Heights, Illinois and while living in Richland attended the Centerpoint Baptist Church. Richland has been her home for the past 32 years, since 1951, and she was employed at the telephone company as an operator for several years.

Margaret is survived by her father Carl Howard, of Waynesville; two daughters, Lolita Taylor of Clarkston, Michigan and Margaret Leoni of Homewood, Illinois; one brother, Henry Carl Howard of Escondida, California; three sisters Rose Flynn of Waynesville, Pauline Yacono of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Irene Kister of fresno, California, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Services for Margaret A. Craig were held at Colonial Funeral Chapel 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 1983. Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, soloist and Marcia Shadel, organist. Burial was in the Centerpoint Cemetery. Escorts were: Robert Leoni, Jr., Richard Leoni, James Taylor, Robert Majka, Donald Taylor and Michael Leoni. Under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels of Richland, Missouri.
