She accepted Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Waynesville where she is still a member.
She was united in marriage to Joe D. Mumford on March 12, 1932 in Lebanon, Missouri. He passed away June 12, 1979.
Agnes attended school in the Waynesville Public Schools and she also attended college at SMSU in Springfield and got her teaching degree from the Northeastern State Teachers College in Tallaquah, Oklahoma. She taught school in Oklahoma and in Pulaski County, Missouri.
Agnes was a member of the Hanson Chapter Eastern Star.
Agnes Lucille Pearson Mumford is survived by her mother, Mrs. Stella Pearson of Waynesville, Missouri; her sisters, Myrtle Gladden of Laquey, Missouri, Louise McDougald of Lubbock, Texas, Grace Langford of Memphis, Tennessee and Peggy McKinzie of Richland, Missouri; her brothers, Ted Pearson of Burton, Kansas and John Pearson of Collinsville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father Francis C. Pearson and her sister Mable Crumley.
Funeral services for Agnes Lucille Mumford were held Monday, January 28, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Othal Hodson officiating.
Music was provided by soloist Iva Mae Case accompanied by Marjorie Link playing the organ.
Pallbearers were: Martin Barlow, Robert Barton, Ivan Bowling, Robert Elam, Charles Harris, and Dale Howlett.
Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel.
