Earnest Pruitt 53,Richland died Thursday afternoon in his car, just west of Hazelgreen near the Gasconade River where he was planning to swim. A funeral home spokesman said Mr. Pruitt suffered an apparent heart attack. Surviving are a son, Raymond Lee, Richland, three brothers Clifford,Wilbur and Kermit all of Lebanon, two sisters Lillian Osborn, Lebanon and Oma Busick of California,and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday at Independence Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Swadley officiating. Burial will be in Hazelgreen Cemetery under Moss-Williams of Richland.
