Olive Beatrice (Clark) Barr 1894-1983

Services for Olive Beatrice Barr were held at Colonial Funeral Chapel 11:00 am. Tuesday, December 27, 1983. Officiating at the services was Rev. Dale Hufft. Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, Soloist, and Marcia Shadel, Organist. Burial was in the Manes Cemetery. Escorts were: Pryor Ray Preweet, John Strom, Ward Ledbetter, Bob Deaton, Tony Tindall, and Bill Murray. Under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels of Richland, Missouri.

Olive Beatrice Clark Barr was born in Pulaski County August 29, 1894 to Isiah T. and Margaret Manes Clark, and passed away in St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

October 5, 1913, she was married to Charles Barr, and to this union was born 7 children.

She accepted Christ as her personal saviour as a young girl at Dublin Baptist Church, later transferring her membership to First Baptist Church, Richland, Missouri, where she has been a member for many years.

She spent her entire married life in Pulaski County caring for her home and family, and enjoyed sewing, working in her flower garden, and vegetable gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Calvin and an infant son, Warren, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those surviving her are 5 daughters, Kelda Scott, Irving, Texas; LaVern Sneed and Alene Murray of Springfield, Missouri; Zella Mae Meyer of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Rosalyn Deaton of Washington, Illinois; 1 brother, Eugene Clark, Richland, Missouri; 5 sisters, Willene Day, Ethel Strom, and Lenna Craig, Richland, Missouri, Dixie Hamman and Belle Chadwick of St.
