Richard Lee Phillips 1940-1983

Richard Lee Phillips, son of Robert and Margie Thornsberry Phillips was born September 8, 1940 at Crocker, MO., and died November 11, 1983 at the Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital at Osage Beach, at the age of 43 years, 2 months, and 3 days.

In December, 1964 he was united in marriage to Joan Badsteiber at Omaha, Nebraska, to this union two children were born.

Dick was the former owner of Wis-Illa-Mo Resort at Osage Beach, and for the last eight years has been a real estate broker in the lake area. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home at Linn Creek, one son Steve and one daughter Susie, both of the home, his mother Margie Phillips of Crocker, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Funeral services were held November 13, 1983 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Starmann officiating. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery at Crocker.

Pallbearers were Ron Larkin, Shirrel Duncan, John Farrell, Wayne Thomas, John Curran, and Merl Heibel. Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Gattermeir, Bill R. Raynor III, Mark Hohenshell, Bob Malcoln, Wally Trump, Jim Newman, Jim Henderson, Bob Yows, and Don Strickland.

Services were under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
