Thomas Frederick Renfrow 1891-1984

Thomas Frederick Renfrow was born in Meta, Missouri on September 24, 1891 the son of John and Paralee Pearson Renfrow and passed away in the Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City on Tuesday, June 19, 1984. He had attained the age of 92 years.

He was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Copeland September, 1914 and unto this union three daughters were born.

He belonged to the Campground Christian near Meta. Fred was a retired farmer in Maries County and moved to Dixon when he retired.

Funeral services were held in the Long Gilbert Chapel on Thursday, June 21, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Gene Edwards and Reverend Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long Gilbert Chapel of Dixon.

Kathy Brandt was the organist and serving as pallbearers were Victor Pierce, Elzie Helton, Mike Corrigan, Danny Helton, Leonard Wilson, Jr., and Freddie Wilson.

Fred is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Olive and Leonard Wilson of Dixon, Gladys and Vernon Helton of Meta, and Leola and Lawrence Grant of Rolla, one sister, Della Bastel of Mission, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife on December 27, 1970.
