James Ralph Miller 1902-1985

James Ralph Miller was born a son to William T. and Ida Mae (Godfrey) Miller on March 25, 1902 at Richland, Missouri and he departed this life on March 19, 1985 at Sunset Village of the Ozarks, having attained the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

As a young man, Ralph was baptized and joined the Idumea Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to the Friendship Baptist Church at Fort Leonard Wood.

On February 26, 1922, Ralph was united in marriage to Delphia Elizabeth York and to this union two daughters were born, one passing away in infancy.

Besides his daughter, Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.

Survivors include a sister: Edith Broemeiser of Godfrey, Illinois; a daughter: Nancy Myers of Laquey, Missouri; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 22, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Haskell Orrick officiating.

Music was provided by Dr. Keith Miles, soloist and Marjorie Link, organist.

Serving as escorts were: Irdart Brady, Ora Lee Brady, Dale Davenport, Larry Sisk, and Richard York.

Serving as honorary escorts were: Danny Graves and Roger Higgins.

Burial was in the Deerlick Cemetery under the direction of the Waynesville Memorial Funeral Chapel.
