She was united in marriage with Harry L. Evans on October 20, 1915 and to this union was born one son and one daughter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Wayne, and a great grandson Alan Holdman.
Perea professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and has been a member of the Richland United Methodist Church for many years. She has made the Richland area her home all her life.
Those left to mourn her passing include her daughter, Helen York, and son-in-law, Raymond of Richland; one granddaughter, Linda Holdman of Richland and three great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Richland United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 1985 with Rev. Billy Grabeel and Rev. John Appling officiating. Music was by Rosalynn York. Interment was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels.
Escorts were: Murel Amos, Jim Brackett, Elton Powers, Drue Rayl, Cecil Johnson, and Alfred Lercher.
Honorary escorts were Doug Johnson, John Starmer, and Jesse York.
