Lela Kathleen (Saul) Reedy 1954-2009

Lela Kathleen Reedy, of Dixon, was born on November 24, 1954, at Waynesville, a daughter of Edward and Shirley (Burkhart) Saul and departed this life at 2:35 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2009, at her residence near Dixon. Lela had been ill for the past 4 years and had attained the age of 54 years, 5 months and 24 days.

Lela was united in marriage on July 8, 1994, at Dixon, to Rodney Eugene Reedy. Her parents and one sister, Gretchen Crider, preceded her in death.

Lela was the former owner and operator of Mac’s Grill, Dixon, and Route 66 Pizza, Waynesville. She had most recently been employed as a cashier/clerk at Country Mart, Dixon, which she really enjoyed while being employed there.

Those left to mourn the passing of Lela include: her husband, Rodney Reedy, of the home near Dixon; three sons, James Reedy and friend, Dawn, Jefferson City; Jacob Reedy and friend, Jennifer, Dixon; Jarrett Reedy and wife, Theresa, Rolla; six grandchildren, Reagan, Brooke, Kaden, Carson, Kyla and Deven; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial services for Lela will be held at a later date in the Dixon Cemetery.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
