Billy Dan Hockaday, 68 of Richland, a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and Vietnam Veteran, passed away at 9:25 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2009 at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 7 at Hazelgreen Cemetery, under direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland.
Mr. Hockaday is survived by three children: Freddie Hockaday of the state of Florida, Eddie Hockaday of the state of Georgia and Elizabeth Ball, stationed at Ft. Greely, Alaska; three siblings: Shirley Maness and Robert Hockaday both of Richland and Wayne O’Neal Hockaday of St. Charles; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a special friend: Ingrid Ozee of Richland; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
