Louetta (Price) Brown 1916-1984

Louetta Brown, daughter of Hendrix and Charity Gregory Price, was born June 17, 1916 in Plato, Missouri, and departed this life June 7, 1984 AT Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of 67 years.

She was united in marriage with Willard Brown on January 11, 1935 in Camden County and has made her home in the Richland area the remainder of her life.

In her early teens, Louetta professed her faith in Christ and was baptized and became a member of the Christian Church in Plato, Missouri. She later moved her membership to the Independent Church in Richland.

Louetta enjoyed gardening, and raising flowers both inside and outside her home. She also enjoyed sewing and spent many hours reading the Bible.

She is survived by her husband Willard of Richland; seven sons: Densel and Larry, both of Indpendence, Missouri; Alvin of Lebanon; James of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; Leroy of DeRidder, Louisiana; Ellis of Bennett Springs; Gary of Camdenton; one daughter: Darlene Strickland of Eldon; five brothers: Lawrence and Marley Price both of Camdenton; Willie Decoursey of the State of California; Amos Decoursey of Lebanon; Frank Price of Buffalo; one sister: Matilda Knottingham State of California; 36 grandchildren and 10 great=grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by six half brothers: Gideon, John, and Thomas H. Price. Robert and Fred Decoursey, and Earl Stoner; five half sisters: Nancy. Josephine, Julie, Nicey and Ellen; one granddaughter: Angela Brown.

Services were held Sunday, June 10, 1984, 3:00 p.m. at High Point Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hutsell officiating.

Music was provided by Mike and David Hutsell.

Escorts were family members.

Burial was in the High Point Cemetery under direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland.
