Ronald Dale McMahon 1958-2009

Ronald Dale McMahon went home to be with his Lord the evening of September 30, 2009 at St. John’s Breech Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of 51 years, 8 months and 19 days.

Ronnie, one of four children born to the union of Charles Walter and Stella M. (Strahan) McMahon, was born January 11, 1958 in Topeka, Kansas.

When Ronnie was a young boy, the McMahon family moved to Richland, Missouri, where he attended school and graduated with the Richland High School Class of 1976.

On August 4, 1979, at First Baptist Church of Richland, Ronnie was united in marriage with Donna Jean Mullins. Ronnie and Donna shared over 30 years of marriage and were blessed with a son, Ronald Scott, and a daughter, Lindsey Michelle.

Ronnie was a gifted carpenter. He owned and operated his own construction business for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and working around his farm, but his greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends.

Ronnie was a member of First Baptist Church in Richland. He re-dedicated his life to the Lord Jesus Christ shortly before his passing.

Ronnie was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by his beloved wife: Donna; son: Ronald Scott McMahon; daughter: Lindsey Michelle McMahon (Larry Franklin); his parents: Charles and Stella McMahon; three siblings: Ricky McMahon (Vicky Smith), Donnie McMahon (Janet) and Debbie Carnes (Tom) all of Richland; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland with Rev. Doug Jacobsen and Rev. Robert Lilly officiating. Pianist Marleen Brown provided several music selections. Soloist Mary Howlett sang “On The Other Side” and “I Can Only Imagine”. Serving as escorts were Tommy Clark, Ben Pixley, Paul Laughlin, Brian Baker, Danny Howlett, Jim Brackett, Kenny Parker, John Parrish, Mike Pelkey, Wayne Mitschele and Brad Ledbetter. Honorary Escorts included Keith Lundh, John Gan, Dick Smith, Dizzy Carver and Leroy Myers.

Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery near Richland, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Richland.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ronald Dale McMahon and may be left at the funeral home.
