Edna M. (Brown) O’Quinn 1903-1984

Edna M. O’Quinn, age 81 of Diamond City, Arkansas, was born a daughter of Franklin Belle Brown and Mary Alice (Hullett) Brown on February 12, 1903 in Bloodland, Missouri, and she departed this life June 13, 1984 at the University Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri.

She was a school teacher in the Bloodland area before her marriage to Lloyd Chester O’Quinn. She resided many years in the West des Moines area and upon retirement, moved to Diamond City, Arkansas. While living there she was a member of Lead Hill Christian Church.

She is survived by three sisters: Mildred Pitts, Golda Shaffer, and Sylvia Maxon all of Roby, Missouri; four brothers: Mervin and Ernest Brown of Roby, Missouri, Dale Brown of Smithville, Missouri, and Eugene Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; one foster daughter: Lynda Young of Independence, Missouri; and one foster son: Terry Brown of Kansas City, Missouri.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Virgil White officiating. Services were under direction of the Waynesville Memorial Chapel. Those serving as Pallbearers were family members.
