Mamie Hill Hoyer 1890-1984

Mamie Hill Hoyer was born August 9, 1890 in Jonesboro, Indiana, to Chris and Sarah Harris Hill and departed this life on April 20, 1984 at the age of 93 years, eight months, and 12 days.

She became a Christian at a very early age, and, at the time of her passing, was a member of the United Methodist Church, Richland, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Ivar A. Hoyer on February 14, 1910 and to this union was born one son, Ed, who survives.

The family moved to Richland in 1926, where her husband was employed with Shell Pipeline Company. His work necessitated their moving to Pennsylvania in 1943 where she lived until moving to Richland again in 1975. She maintained her home until she became a resident of Tri-County Nursing Home in October, 1982.

Those preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers, Arl Hill and Jack Hill, and two sisters, Faye Fern Shriber and Ruby Richardson.

In addition to her son, Ed, of Richland, she is survived by two grandsons and eight great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Services were held Monday, April 23, 1984 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Appling officiating.

Music was provided by Rusty Shadel, soloist and Marcia Shadel, organist.

Escorts were: Bruce warren, Neal Warren, John Hoyer, Bill Warren, Kent Hoyer, and Jack Hoyer.

Honorary escorts were: Gordon warren, Serle Shewmaker, Hermann Phelps, Barton warren, Jesse Allen, and Keith Warren.

Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel of Richland, Missouri.
